Tandartspraktijk Mathenesse wants every patient to feel satisfied with our care, communication and service. However, you may sometimes be unhappy with a treatment, the information you received or an invoice. We would like to hear about your concerns so that we can work with you to find an appropriate solution.
Discuss your complaint with us first
We recommend contacting our dental practice to discuss your complaint first. A personal conversation gives us an opportunity to listen to your concerns, provide an explanation and try to resolve any misunderstanding.
Dentist and practice owner K.N. Malik is the first point of contact for complaints within Tandartspraktijk Mathenesse.
You can contact us by:
- Telephone: 010 437 0595
- Email: [email protected]
If you contact us by email, preferably provide only your name, telephone number and a short statement that you would like to discuss a complaint. Please do not send detailed medical information by ordinary email. We will contact you to discuss the matter further.
Independent complaint mediation through the KNMT
If we cannot resolve the matter together, or if you would prefer assistance from a complaints officer, Tandartspraktijk Mathenesse is affiliated with the KNMT Complaints Service.
You can request complaint mediation through this service free of charge. An independent complaints officer facilitates communication between you and the healthcare professional involved and helps both parties look for a solution. The complaints officer does not judge the complaint or issue a binding decision.
The KNMT complaint procedure and complaint handling are conducted in Dutch. If you have difficulty communicating in Dutch, ask someone you trust to help you prepare and submit your complaint.
Read the KNMT explanation of the complaints procedure:

Complaints are handled according to the current KNMT oral healthcare complaints procedure:
Oral Healthcare Disputes Body
If complaint mediation does not result in a solution and you remain dissatisfied with the outcome, you can submit the dispute to the Stichting Geschilleninstantie Mondzorg, the Dutch Oral Healthcare Disputes Body.
This is an independent disputes body recognised by the Dutch government. It can assess the dispute and issue a binding decision.
Questions about the complaints procedure?
If you have questions about the procedure or are unsure which step to take, call us on 010 437 0595 or email [email protected]. We will explain which complaints route applies to your situation.
